4th of July Party!!

BBQ at Ma & Pa Kettle's house. Almost everyone was there (my kids were with their dad, Rookie and Alice were in Chicago). It was nice to see Ida & McKenna who are visiting from Germany. Thanks to Aunt Gayle, Grandpa and Grandma for the food and fun. Hope everyone had fun.

FREEDOM!

It is humbling to think of the freedoms I have simply by living where I live. I realize these freedoms did not come easily and are defended daily by men and women who who work, fight, serve, love, nurture, teach, and empower others in hopes of maintaining our nations founding beliefs. A big thanks...to you all.

Happy 4th Everyone!!

It's Done!!!

I'm done with this year's Blog-to-Book project. It took me half the time this year because I know more about what I am doing. I even found how to make some cute backgrounds and edit layouts...etc. I also got the hardback edition! So hopefully it will stand up to my kids interest in it. :) Fun, Fun!!!

(I use Blurb to do my books because I don't have Photoshop. Let me know if you know of a cheaper or more updated site for doing books.)

Toot My Own Horn Time...

Keep in mind, I can fluctuate 5 lbs. daily just for the heck of it, but I have lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks by just eating "real" food!!! And I haven't even started to exercise much. Just think what will happen when I add that piece. :o) Yay me! It has not been that hard either. Normally I crave sweets, but because I am eating veggies AND fruit, I think I get my sweet fix. I am a little sick of grapefruit though. Just a side note - I am actually saving money on groceries.

QUACKERS!

Feeding the ducks on a wonderfully shady June evening.

Bud kept pelting the ducks and laughing (sigh).
Bug kept trying to feed the seagulls because
"they deserve to eat too."

:o)

Yay for OPA!

This is about my kids school. It was named Utah's charter school of the year! For us the charter school route was a God-send. I am glad they are doing so well...despite my daughter's reading scores! ;o)
