Overheard Conversation...

Bug: Don't you just love R.C. Willey?

Bud: Sure. Why?

Bug: It has everything you need!

Bud: Does it have Herbalife?

I don't really have anything to post...but because it is snowing outside...I can't have the blog title Spring Is In The Air staring at me every time I check my blog. :(

Can I just say that I really want to have Spring here full-force!

Spring is in the Air!

We had a blast at the park today.
I am very thankful for some good weather.

Guess who is getting a visit from the tooth fairy tonight?

Bug. She lost #3 today at school. I guess there is a story involved, but I didn't have time to get in touch with those involved. Will post more later...

M-I-C-K-E-Y * M-O-U-S-E

Disney on Ice was fun for the kids...
boring as heck for the adults! :)
Thanks Aunt Rookie for coming with.

The kids loved the finale the best. Here is the video of them dancing.
Hope you can see it. It is very dark.

Recognition is Awesome!

Bug was recognized at school this month for her progress in math and her overall attitude about school. She has had quite the struggle this year and just keeps on working hard and helping others. I am very proud of her. :)

Bud was very proud of his sister!

Happy Birthday Rookie! Again...

Happy Birthday to YOU! :)

We Love You!

Just Us...

A cute newly-dating couple asked if they could take a picture for us.

Bug was completely fascinated with the Chinese Zodiak stuff.
She is a Horse. Bud is a Monkey. I'm a Rabbit.

This is what my living room looks like by Friday night.
I can't wait to be able to hire a maid.

This is Saturday. Much better. :)

My Children Love Me

So...tonight we had the opportunity to eat out.
I gave the kids the option of where to go.
They chose Chinese food.
They love me!

The ONLY Problem With Facebook

I know from my schooling that personality is basically formed by the age of four and stays fairly constant throughout the lifetime. And some suggest temperament is present at birth. I can agree with this based wholly on my own experience with my own kiddos. BUT people DO change. And thus my issue....

Several "old friends" on Facebook have made comments on my posts, notes and status saying things like "that sounds like you" or "this is totally you!" I'm not bugged, it just got me thinking. These people don't really know me. They knew me when...they don't know me now. They know the person they knew. I know them as the person they once were. I know them only based off of my experiences with them. We don't really know each other. AND there is NO way for them to truly know me and who I am now based off of my facebook personality and profile. It makes me want to call these people up and actually have a conversation with them...but who's to say we would be able to truly be ourselves during that conversation either. I believe an element of false self would be involved here as well because LIFE, TIME and Situations have happened.

So basically...Facebook has created yet another false reality for us to live in. I say another based on things such as reality TV, e-mail ambiguity, online dating, and other falsifying mediums many of us seem to be addicted to. Well...I just have to be ok with the fact that many of these people really don't know me now and if they make comments about me, it is based off of the me they knew way back when. And vice-a-versa. Here's to the old me! :)

Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

I've been avoiding the local pizza/entertainment/arcade game stop because I heard it is way too busy and the pizza sucked. Well...we finally went tonight and we had a blast!

The pizza does suck but the games and fun are very worth it! The kiddos had so much fun, but I think I had more fun watching them...and playing a little. :)

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure...

A fun roller coaster simulation game.

A fun blue-screen dance machine.

They both kick butt at shooting games!

We hit the jackpot on this game three times (48 tickets each time!)

Bug loved the horse racing game. She is a good jumper.

Being good at wack-a-mole is genetic.

What cute kiddos! We had a blast.
